Guys, I completely agree with you, that second half really made me nervous and it wasn’t very convincing at all. However, we did defend until the very end, and that is something to be happy about. We are definetely still growing as a team, and I can see we’ve lost that coward mentality we used to have troughout our recent football history. With that mentality, we could’ve lost this game 4-2 even after winning 2-0 at half-time, and with this new winning mentality, we’ve actually won a game almost everyone expected us to lose. That chaotic defending issue, however, needs to be resolved, France simply aren’t going to be as generous to us as the Romanians.

I completely agree. The giveaways and sloppy ball handling must be corrected. I believe this team has great depth in talent. But they must become more diciplined.

And don’t remind me of that Ivory Coast WC game!! It took me three motnhs to get over that!!

Just watched the match against France again … Krstajic gave the ball away so many times , you can only draw two possible conclusions :
1. He should never play football again because he has brain damage
or
2. He is taking bribes .

Although there are definite improvements , this game left me with a feeling that there are still major problems . Reminded me of Ivory Coast match when we were leading 2-0 and lost 3-2 . We were in very similar danger here and are lucky that Romania is having problems of their own . So , so far , basically we have had only two really good quality matches : against Lithuania and Austria . We lost to France . I didn’t watch the Faroe Islands match but I read was not a convincing win . Altogether , I am not even 50% convinced that we are top 10 material yet . We definitely have the quality and talent and now a good coach . Let’s clean up the disorganized play .

A decisive win. But we will have to play a lot smarter against the likes of France. The second half was dominated by Romania who could have tied this game. Maybe even won. If you look at ball posession in the second half, I’ll bet the Romanians had it 2:1. And when you control the ball that long, it creates chances.

Our mid field also was weak in the second half and many balls were just kicked away. Sloppy.

If Serbia wants to advance and make some waves in the World Cup, we will need to play much more controlled and disciplined football.

Great analysis Nikola and well deserved win for our boys, Vidic, Krasic & Jovanovic were outstanding once again.
I love our attacking football, we are letting more goals through but at least we are scoring more and winning games.
Some of the players need more experience but that will come with the rest of the games we have to play.
South Africa here we come!

Nikola my friend, brilliant play so far by Serbia. The White Eagles look well on their way to World Cup.

What did I say about Jovanović and Krasić? Krasić hit the post, and Jovanović tapped the rebound. 1-0 for Serbia. I just hope my own result prediction doesn’t come and haunt me in the end.

Also, there seems to be a fight beetween the visiting fans and the police. I don’t understand why, we’re actually winning! Please, don’t do something for UEFA to throw us out, these guys on the pitch don’t deserve it at all.
