Introduction
Hello to everyone, my name is Nikola and I’ll be the new blogger at the Serbia World Cup Blog, and if I’m not mistaken (and I may be), the first one to actually come from Serbia. Now, that has three major consequences: first of all, I’ll have more information available to me than anyone who doesn’t speak Serbian ever could, and I’ll give my best to make most of them available to all english-speaking football fans around the world. Secondly, I’ll definetely have a lot of motivation to work here, since it’s always a great honor to represent your own country to the world, even if it is such a minor role as writing a blog about it. But related to this, there is a third major issue: how to remain neutral and realistic if you are a devoted fan? Well, it’s probably the biggest problem of all the bloggers here, and I solemnly declare I’ll give my best to be as neutral, respectful and realistic as a football fan can be. Whether I have suceeded or not, it will be up to you to judge!
I would also like to say a special thanks to all the people that have written on this blog in the past. I sincerely believe that, with so many obstacles between them and the team that they have written about, their work was simply outstanding. I just hope I’d be able to continue the good tradion, and make this an interesting blog that people all around the world would actually enjoy reading. Yes, I may be an amateur blogger, but I definetely have a lot of enthusiasm!
That’s all from me for now, but you can expect new posts in the next few days. Serbia play Faroe Islands on Saturday, and I’ll try to make a decent preview, a little introduction to the Serbian football history and a review of recent important events before the qualifiers start. I may even write a general team preview, with the emphasis on all the players to watch. If I don’t manage to do it all in time, be sure to drop by before the France game, it should all be done by then. Over and out.

Hey! Glad to know that you’ll be in charge of the Serbian blog! I am trying to become the blogger for the Norwegian section and I was wondering who you got in contact with to become the Serbian blogger?
