its always interesting to hear what some arrogant smartasses have to say (I mean you soze)… the jadransport article is a “prediction”….with other words just a guess ;) either you agree or not is up to you…but it seems that some people can look into the brains of the coaches …

If the article is just a prediction..why would there be a sub heading of ‘definite participants’?..I do not know much about who from SCG is actually going to the WC, I was just letting Lyle know that the players grouped in the Croatian ‘predictions’ were wrong. And that he should look into the validity of what he reports. I’m not being arrogant, just factuall. OK and a little arrogant.

im not sure soze if your able to read or not….the JS article is a “prediction or a guess of definite and uncertain participants.”…do you understand this linguistically????

its not a matter of wrong or right … are you a brain surgent of WC coaches or what?

once again rogi..the words ‘defenite participants’ would imply certainty. Perhaps you are not understanding those words which would show that I am able to read and perhaps YOU are not.

And knowing better has nothing to do with being a brain surgeon or being able to look into peoples heads..it just has to do with reading interviews with the selection coach.

You seem to take special offence to my just stating my opinion and bringing it to Lyle’s attencion. Perhaps you are the author of that mess and if you wish I could disect that website futher..I have found several glaring mistakes there.

Otherwise I suggest you familiarise yourself with meaning of words in specific orders and their meanings..peace out!

definite participants AS A GUESS!!!
I think you still dont get it…doesnt matter.

I guess your some kind of a smartass journalist…if your a specialist in Croatian football, why dont you comment on the croatain football bloogers site, where this article isnt mentioned? You admitted that you dont have a clue about the serbian roster. In case you have, then go on and “dissect” (written with ss by the way) this roster please here, mr. langauge surgeon…

yes ive read your “original” smartass post…as you can see (scroll up)…Ive ansdered to it. Now a little English and Logic lessen for dummies: it might be that the croatian roster is full of “mistakes” as you call it. but we are here in the serbia and montengro blog and this thread is about the serbian roster which JS proposed. Now please discuss and dissect this. if you just want to spread your smartass comments on other media sources, do that in another suitable thread.

i agree with your first post lyle. otherwise this prediction…for me…has no “mistakes” in it. (which is a contraction anyway… a prediction can only rely on other sources and personal observation, but doesnt claim to “know-it-all”). the only thing is, that i dont think that pantelic will be called. the additional midfielder will be vukcevic. but it could also be another one, because vukcevic was only called once into the national A selection. vukic is injured and there is a big question mark here. I fear that ilija will call another defensive midfielder like nenad djordjevic instead of vukic or vukcevic, but this would mean that we really dont have a single central ofensive midfielder in the squad.

soze…you wrote already so much ridicolous and irrational stuff into this thread, now how about a “concrete opinion” (as you call it)from yourself? We are still discussing the serbia and montenegro roster here !!!! if you dont have anything better to say, than smartassing around, then go back to your croatian thread and discuss kovac’s unemployment…

Vucetevic and Vucinic better get in. Easily the two brightest prospects in our nation (Plus theyre Montenegrin)

btw….They also wrote Vukic will be in the team. I thought he was injured??

vukic is “uncertain” and I agree with that. he was badly injured in february, but he played almost all of the qualifying matches as our central midfielder and vukcevic played one single time, 15 minutes as a substitute against belgium. So I wouldnt be all to sure about Vukcevic being in the squad. I would rather count on a surprise move by Ilija, calling another defensive midfielder like nenad djordjevic or mladenovic. but of course i would love to see the technically superb vukcevic into the team.

Yeah Djordjevic and Mladenovic are two very good prospects. But maybe a bit to enexperienced? I mean we have Duljaj as the holding mid, and I dont think either of the two are better then him. As for the Attaking Mid role, Vukic is out, Petkovic is certain to miss out and we need Stankovic on the wing so the only player really left is Vuketevic.

I agree crnogorac…we need vukcevic, even if he is very young and unexperienced. we dont have another player there, except of Dejan Petkovic, who wont be called. but as I said, he only played a total of around 15 minutes in the belgium game in the qualifiers. do you think that Ilija will really call him?

I’d just like to remind those who knew but forgot (everyone, uhuh) that um, Montenegrin is not a nationality and that they are Catholic SERBS in an autonomus PROVINCE that was given too much power by Tito way back. (Like Croats are, and Bosnians also being Serbian people of the Islamic faith).
I don’t want to get intoa Balkan War disscussion but don’t chip away my country at a Sporting Event Blog.

B,Slav,

Montenegrins are Catholic Serbs??? Thats funny because 90% of Montenegrins are Orthodox ……There goes your uneducated theory out the window mate. Im not denying that im a Montenegrin Serb, but i take pride in my homeland aswell. Im not from Serbia, im from Montenegro.

btw……Montenegro an autonomous region given to much power by Tito (Legenda)??? Please pick up a history book. Montenegro was an Independednt State when Serbia was been arse-raped by the Turks. In no way did Tito just create us. We held the true fighting spirit of the Serbs whilst the Ottamons were ruling the rest of our fallen brothers. We had our own Church, our own Dynesty (Petrovic) and our own Royal family during these 500 years.

After World War 1 the Serbian Monarch took all our power away (Banished our Church, Exiled our king) and incorporated us into a Greater Serbia.

Although Im a supporter of a Union between Southern Slavs (Yugoslavia) I cant say that the very first Yugoslavia (Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes) was a good thing.

In Conclusion. Pick up a history book majt lol.

Agree with Rogi, let’s get back to football. Should be plenty to argue about when it comes to the team, right?

As someone who hasn’t followed the Plavi too closely, tell me who should be my favorite player on the team? Who should I keep an eye on this summer?

Cheers

“Who should I keep an eye on this summer?”

Nikola Zigic. Great talent. Tallest professional footballer in the world and two time player of the year in Scg. Hes rumoured to be going to Arsenal after the World Cup.

Another player to watch is Mirko Vucinic. Was 3rd highest goal scorerer in Serea A 2 seasons ago, and if (When) Kezman looses form, he will be there to wow the world.

agree with gorac
The best striking pair right now would be 25 year old Zigic and 22 year old Vucinic and not Milosevic (who is simply too old) or Kezman (who is still searching for his form) Young, talented and promising. Vucinic scored 18 goals last season in the Serie A. As a 21 year old ! Amazing guy….
