Savo Says
Savo Milosevic, Serbia and Montenegro’s super striker, was interviewed and talks about how Serbia and Montenegro has a great chance to win the World Cup if it somehow survives the arrogant and belligerent Argentines, Dutch, and Ivorians.
Okay… he doesn’t describe the opposition as arrogant and belligerent (he’s too nice). What he does say is that Serbia and Montenegro could play the best football (soccer) of their lives and still not progress out of their “Group of Death”. This is true I think… but for all the teams in the deadly Group C.

Hey Lyle, I like this team as a longshot pick to go far in the tournament and possibly win it all (even though they are in the group of death).
It looks like they are a solid defensive team but I don’t know much about their offensive prowess. I know about Kejman but how about thae tall guy ZIGIC (I think) . Is he any good?? Can this team score enough goals to get by?

zantheman,
yeah, they can score goals. zigic is a serbian version of jan koller. he’s a stud. he dishes the ball off to kezman or vucninic or milosevic.
the ‘weakeast’ part of SM is the midfield… although they are not bad, just not any big names other than stankovic.
sm doesn’t play ball possession and tries to score on set pieces off corners or fouls (that’s where zigic comes into play as a tree). so if they get behind, they will have some problems.

I think have a chance if they can figure out which country their playing for. VIVA ARGENTINA!

ors,
argentina is going down i think. too many selfish, me-first players who make too much money. their spirit just seems too weak for them to really make a great impression in germany.
respectfully,
lyle
