Ognjen Koroman Fit to Play

February 22nd, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »

Serbia and Montenegro midfielder Ognjen Koroman has finally gained his fitness and is set to make his debut for Portsmouth this weekend against Chelsea if called upon by coach Harry Redknapp. Koroman was loaned to the English side last month from Terek Grozny, but he has yet to play in a competitive match for the first team. Koroman says he is looking forward to the Chelseas match in part because he gets to go up against future World Cup foe Arjen Robben.

“It will be a difficult debut against the best team in England but one I would love. Arjen Robben is very good and it would be a big fight between us.

“There is extra interest because Robben’s Netherlands team are in Serbia’s group in the World Cup. So I can also look forward to playing against him then.”
