No Joke: Dragutinovic Punches Comedian

Comic Cesar Cadaval played a joke on Ivica Dragutinovic following a practice in Spain, but it was the Serbia and Montenegro defender who got the last laugh by punching the comedian.

Now Dragutinovic has issued an apology.

“Dragutinovic has explained that he did not know who Cesar Cadaval was and took the joke to be a provocation because the incident took place next to the changing rooms which is an area where only team members are allowed,” a statement on his club team Sevilla’s website said.

This is a good lesson for all comedians reading World Cup Blog. If you are going to play a practical joke in Germany this summer, please do it far, far away from the changing rooms.
