Kaiser Sees Group of Death Survival

Franz Beckenbauer continued on his global arse kissing tour, today stopping by Belgrade where he charmed his host with his quick wit and even quicker compliments. Talking about Serbia and Montenegro’s chances this summer, the Kaiser said:

Serbia & Montenegro has a good team, but with Argentina, Ivory Coast and Holland you will face a very very difficult group. The toughest group. Nevertheless, if you play in the same style like you did during the World Cup qualifiers, you can survive that group.”

So in other words, he doesn’t say we will win and he doesn’t say we will lose. How very diplomatic. Let’s hope that Pele doesn’t stop by anytime soon. His predictions are always the kiss of death.
