Holland’s Dirk Kuijt’s Thoughts on Serbia and Montenegro

March 3rd, 2006 | By: WC Bob | No Comments »

Dirk Kuijt is a rising star in Dutch soccer. The 25-year-old striker for Feyenoord has been scoring goals at an incredible clip. He netted the game winner against Ecuador earlier this week, leading some to speculate that he could take Ruud van Nistelrooy’s starting spot this summer in Germany. I’m not sure how they landed this one, by Jadran Sport got an exclusive interview with Kujit who reveals that he knows very little about the Serbia and Montenegro team.

I can’t say much about them, because I don’t know much about them as a team. I do know they have a good mixture of experienced and young players. Besides, when you leave Spain behind during the World Cup qualifiers you must be strong. We will face them as our first opponent in Germany, and everybody knows that the first match is one of the most important ones. So we will do our best to win that one.
