LOL.

Thought i’d come and cheer you up lyle. Just wanted to say theirs no need to feel down upon your teams chances this year.

I know you havnt got much hope but if it makes you feel any better i’m sure you will manage a win before making a sharp exit in the group stage but it wont come against the albiceleste. Good day.

Hello, Im croatian, and of course Im rooting for my favorite National team Croatia.

But there is something that scares me about the serbian team, i dont know what, but I would be nervouse to play serbia if I was Neatherlands, Argentina, or the ivory coast.
It must be the defense..all I know that the serbian national team changed very quickly to a dangerouse team. Croatia has beaten you guys almost everytime we played you guys, but I think thats because Croatia knew how you guys play. Anyways, if croatia doesnt make it this summer, I will be rooting for Serbia and Montenegro.

Wow, think about this!! If Croatia, Bosnia, And Yugoslavia were still together, guess what kind of a soccer team that would make! We would of won the 2002 world cup and 2006!! Brazil would of been just a joke to us. lol

Denis,

thanks for the croatian support. that’s a beautiful thing. croatia and serbia and montenegro will represent the former yugoslavia/balkans/eastern europe really well. we both could do wonderful things next month.

… and you’re right about the old yugoslavia, if it was still together the team would unbelievable. although, i hate to think of all the infighting about who should be on the team and who shouldn’t.

… and ecuador likes us over the dutch. guess the dutch aren’t as impressive as they’d like to think. :)

I think we get to semi final, we are more of a team than ever before. Plenty of fire power and speed on the flanks!!!!!

SM can’t score? You ever heard of Metja Kezman? Played for Chelsea?

The Dutch, although a fancy side, won’t be able to penetrated the best defense in the world… but we’ll be able to get a goal from you guys (small back four and aged goalkeeper).

I like your humour lyle. “Best defence in the world” Just because you conceded one goal, doesnt meen you have the best defence. You were not exactly in the hardest qualifying group. You have a good defender “Vidic” playing for Man United, but apart from that, i dont see a to threatening squad. Your defence will not hold the likes of RvN, Messi, or didier, and the rest of the players that go with there team. come on Lyle, stay optimistic here.

martijn,

… and so the Dutch are a World Cup Champion caliber team? it’s about team play Martijn, not big name players and we’ve got the team.

remember Martijn, Greece is the champion of Europe not the Netherlands.

Yeah Lyle, my point exactly. players alone do not make a team. Thats what Marco changed about the squad this world cup. He created a team, and thats what makes me so confident that holland can go far this summer, very far. And if i remember, you said that Marco selected a losing team with no “great names” like davids, kluivert, makaay etc.. Ive told you this alot of times, but your so certain of beating the dutch team because it doesnt have any “great names” in them.. But im glad i finally brought some sence in to you. it took a while tho.. :D

martin,

no, i’ve been telling you this all along. marco has built a spirited team, but a young one that hasn’t played much together, whereas petkovic (the better coach) is working with guys who played together all throughout qualifying and before. sm is simpley the greater “team”.

the dutch team should really be called: Project South Africa.

Lyle, I Probably could agree with you on that on, or even Project EURO 2008. But oke, fair point. Im just saying the dutch team has changed alot since Basten took charge, and i want to see how that turns out in germany..
